Sony’s Playstation Video Store to go live…now!

Standard

Sony’s new video rental/purchase portal is going live.  While rumored for months, the surprising part is that it’s not scheduled for next quarter, next month or next week.  It’s up today.  As in right this minute.

Television and theatrical content from Sony, Fox, MGM, Lionsgate, Warner Brothers, Disney and Paramount is up already.  The lone major hold-out appears to be Universal.  Content is available in Standard and High-Definition with prices ranging from $2.99 to $5.99.

I’ll play around with it this evening (assuming it’s not half-dead from traffic) and update with initial thoughts.
