  1. Rob – District 9 $33.33 million
    1. GI Joe
    2. The Time Traveler’s Wife

ps. I’m in Portland Oregon on vacation, so I’m guessing a bit sooner than I normally would in case I don’t get back online tomorrow. Any of you fine folks ever been here? Suggestions or must-see’s?

  2. I’ve been very tempted to go with Time Traveler’s Wife at number 1, but I’ve got to keep pace with James, Rob & Brian, so I’ll have to say

    Joe Webb: D9 – $34.567m
    1. TT’sW
    2. GI Joe

  3. I embarrassed myself so bad last week…G.I. Joe has killed my faith in the modern moviegoer…

  4. Never been to Portland, Rob. Enjoying it so far?

Speaking of which: anyone been to Salt Lake City? Never been, nor do I know anyone who has and I might be spending a week out there.

  5. Whoops – missed the deadline. I got distracted yesterday after I tried doing research for my guess. And I gave Juan a fighting chance to pass me this week…Oh well. I don’t even have a guess that won’t count. When is the last AGEBOC week?

James – I’ve been to SLC a few times. I have a friend that went to BYU and still lives in the area. Of course most of that time was spent at her graduation & wedding. The only sightseeing thing I know of is Temple Square. There are a surprising amount of things to do there.

  6. Marco:

I just found out that “Waltzing Matilda” is your country’s unofficial national anthem.

You. can watch. any movies. you want.

  7. James – I’ve been to SLC a few times. I have a friend that went to BYU and still lives in the area. Of course most of that time was spent at her graduation & wedding. The only sightseeing thing I know of is Temple Square. There are a surprising amount of things to do there.

I don’t know how much time I’m going to have, but will have at least one free and clear night when I first arrive. Going to do some research and at least get in a little sightseeing before I delve into a crazy week.

  8. Man, I thought Brian’s 37 was a couple mil too high, but it could be a few too low! Thankful for light guessing this week…

Bonuses are too close to call as of yet

  9. Brian could get six points this week, Joe two, making things interesting, though James and Rob look to both get two half points for the bonus questions.

  10. Sorry for the MIA. A few too many things colliding at the moment. Was up in Stockholm, not Lappland (though that would have been nice too). Still, can’t believe I missed sending in my guesses again.

    Here’s a late summary.

    Brian: District 9 – $37 million
    1. Time Traveler’s Wife
    2. GI Joe

    Joe Webb: D9 – $34.567m
    1. TT’sW
    2. GI Joe

    Rob – District 9 $33.33 million
    1. GI Joe
    2. The Time Traveler’s Wife

    Jackrabbit Slim: District 9 – 28.8 Million
    1. Time Traveler’s Wife
    2. G.I. Joe

    James – District 9 $27M
    1. GI Joe
    2. The Time Traveler’s Wife

  11. So now I’m in third place? This contest is rigged, rigged I tell ya! And I only have two more weeks to correct this miscarriage of justice… game on you GE bastards!

  12. As James pointed out the actuals are in, but they look like this.

    1. District 9 – $37,354,308
    2. G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra – $22,324,341
    3. The Time Traveler’s Wife – $18,623,171

And as we know the guesses look like this:

    Brian: District 9 – $37 million +6
    1. Time Traveler’s Wife
    2. GI Joe

    Joe Webb: D9 – $34.567m +2
    1. TT’sW
    2. GI Joe

    Rob – District 9 $33.33 million
    1. GI Joe +0.5
    2. The Time Traveler’s Wife +0.5

    Jackrabbit Slim: District 9 – 28.8 Million
    1. Time Traveler’s Wife
    2. G.I. Joe

    James – District 9 $27M
    1. GI Joe +0.5
    2. The Time Traveler’s Wife +0.5

Wow, Brian wins this one, most definitely. Well done! That’s some mighty guesstimation right there. Not for 7 points, though, but 6 points ain’t nothing to go home and cry about (unless those are tears of joy). This makes Brian step up to second place, following closely behind James, who is now into the 30s in terms of points. Rob falls behind and would need a miracle or two to get ahead in the game. Speaking of second place, Joe comes in as the runner-up. W00t, Joe!
