  1. I had to look up Monte Carlo to see what it was.

    Yeah, me too.

    Transformers – 93 million
    1. Less
    2. More

  2. Having a laparoscopic cholecystectomy tomorrow, so I’m getting this in today. Hope to be back to form by next week!

    Transformers 3: $111.111m
    1. More
    2. More

Not even looking up Monte Carlo

  3. I don’t like these 3 day questions when it’s been open for two already…
    Let’s see…I predict a 125 opening…so with just the weekend, I say:

    Transformers 3: 105
    1. More
    2. Less

Get well, Joe! (I refuse to look it up)

  4. Good luck Joe.

Damn, if I had only gotten my guess last week in before midnight I’d still be in first place. Oh well. It’s getting to be a tight race at the top. Total shot in the dark this week.

    Transformers – $95
    1. Less
    2. Less

  5. Best wishes, Joe.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon – $112 million

    1. More
    2. Less

  6. Go to Rotten Tomatoes and read the Transformers reviews. Seriously.
I love how Devin Faraci equates the movie to Michelle Bachmann. Seriously.

  7. Updated the current standings. Jackrabbit is now in the lead. Has this happened before, this “late” in the game?

  8. It’s only because Jeanine had a busy Thursday. Though I’m kicking myself for not stealing Joe’s method and going with 66.6, which would have gotten me the bonus.

  9. Uh, Slim, you might wanna amend and add a couple more sixes…you know, in case joe’s superstitious and all…

  10. Considering Transformers 3 will open today and Finke (and Jeanine perhaps) will probably have early reports on how the film is doing around the country before 23:59 pm, I’m cutting down on the deadline.

17:59 p.m. blog time is the new deadline. Get your guesses in.

  11. Transformers 3 – $90 million

    1) More
    2) More

Did any of you like Transformers 2? I hated it, but T3 is better… by a small margin due mostly to the comedy actually succeeding more often than not.

  12. Damn these extended-day openings. Most sites predict for the entire weekend, which makes me have to do math. Since I have no idea, I’ll steal Joe’s method:

    Transformers 3: 99.99 Million

    1. More
    2. Less

  13. I’m finally ready to get back in the game and miss the deadline. Darn it!

    Transformers 3: 85M
    1. Less (is anyone on Earth talking about this film?)
    2. More (Ditto, substituting anyone over 18)

  14. Brian’s gonna win this one, as the estimate is 97.4. Between me and Jeanine for second.

The bonus questions are close, but it looks like Bad Teacher is going to beat Larry Crowne by a million or so and Monte Carlo will be just under 8 million.

  15. No, actuals yet, so just summing up the guesses for now.

    Brian: Transformers 3: $98 million
    1. More
    2. Less

    Nick: Transformers – 93 million
    1. Less
    2. More

    Joe Webb: Transformers 3 – $111.111m
    1. More
    2. More

    filmman: Transformers 3 – 105
    1. More
    2. Less

    Jeanine: Transformers – $95
    1. Less
    2. Less

    Marco Trevisiol: Transformers – $92.6m
    1. Less
    2. Less

    Rob: Transformers 3 – $90 million
    1) More
    2) More

    Jackrabbit Slim: Transformers 3 – 99.99 Million
    1. More
    2. Less

  16. I’m showing an estimate of $96.5 (Reel Source) so this could get interesting.

  17. Actuals are in:

T3: 97.8 million. Brian gets the bonus. But he does not get 7 points, as Larry Crowne does not beat Bad Teacher.

I get 2 points for second, so I think Brian and I are tied.

In a squeaker, Monte Carlo gets 7.9 million, so the answer to #2 is less.

  18. Transformers: Dark of the Moon – $112 million
    1. More
    2. Less +0,5

    Joe Webb: Transformers 3 – $111.111m
    1. More
    2. More

    filmman: Transformers 3 – 105
    1. More
    2. Less +0,5

    Jackrabbit Slim: Transformers 3 – 99.99 Million +2
    1. More
    2. Less +0,5

    Brian: Transformers 3: $98 million +4 +2
    1. More
    2. Less +0,5

    Nick: Transformers – 93 million
    1. Less +0,5
    2. More

    Marco Trevisiol: Transformers – $92.6m
    1. Less +0,5
    2. Less +0,5

    Rob: Transformers 3 – $90 million
    1) More
    2) More

    Jeanine: Transformers – $95
    1. Less +0,5
    2. Less +0,5

  19. Yet no one cares that Juan was left out in the cold…

    Whoops. Sorry, Juan. Fixed.

    Forgot updating filmman, yes.
