10 Cloverfield Lane Trailer

Standard

J.J. Abrams secretly produced a sequel to 2008’s Cloverfeld and somehow managed to keep it under wraps until the trailer dropped this evening.

The Mystery Box approach to marketing has become a little tired in recent years…but damn: this is how you do it!

  1. I love how your HAGEBOC posts are completely uncategorized/tagged, but a trailer post brings out every buzzword in the arsenal! (and my famous ‘nom de tagge’)

  2. I totally dug Cloverfield, even though I only saw it as a rental. Hopefully this is good enough to see in theaters (March 11th release)

  3. I saw Cloverfield in a nearly-empty theater in New York. It was pretty cool to walk through Central Park right after. I really enjoyed it, and I love the shift in focus in the beginning of this trailer and not knowing what she sees. I really hope they get two monsters fighting in and laying waste to the midwest.
